PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

March 2010

March will be a busy month for our local Chapter. We will kick of the month with the ASHRAE & Phoenix Suns Night on March 1st. We worked with the Phoenix Suns event staff to put together a great night of excitement and entertainment, with all proceeds benefitting Research Promotion. Following the basketball game, we will host our second Distinguished Lecturer in Stanley Mumma at out March Meeting.

At the March meeting, we will be taking nominations for the 2010-2011 BOG and if you are interested or know someone who is, please have them contact Larry Hodgins (larry@ttaspecgroup.com). Also, if you want to be a part of the local chapter but do not want a BOG position, there are plenty of committee chairs available that we are always looking for bodies.

The February meeting was a joint panel meeting with the local BOMA Chapter where we discussed the design build process in today’s economy. I would like to thank Rob Sty, Jon Haug, and Scott Roan for participating on the discussion panel. I think the meeting definitely stirred some good points of discussion between the BOMA and ASHRAE chapter members.

Thank you again for everyone’s continued support and see you everyone at the Chapter events.

Thank you,

Dennis Surovcik II

ASHRAE Central Arizona Chapter President
